The short answer
My Gaffr profile in Gaffr Live shows the card a client sees once you're booked. It has your photo, first name, role, checks and shifts on Gaffr. Clients see your rating once you have three. You can also read what clients said about you, without their name or company. A new photo or name waits for a person at Gaffr before clients see it.
Where do I find my profile?
Open My Gaffr profile in Gaffr Live. It's a row on Home and in Settings. You'll see your card, then four buttons: Change photo, Change name, Your details and Share Gaffr. What clients said about you is underneath.
What does a client see of me?
Clients see your card once you're booked. A note under your card in Gaffr Live lists what's on it.
On the card, a client sees:
- your photo and first name
- your mobile number, so they can call you
- the role they booked you for
- the checks, in fixed words: "Right to work verified", "ID checked" and "Insurance on file"
- how many shifts you've done on Gaffr
- your average rating, once you have three ratings
Once the shift is over, the client sees only your first name and photo.
The checks show that a person at Gaffr looked at the document. They aren't a check of your skills or how you work. Documents and expiry dates explains what happens when a document runs out.
What do clients never see?
Clients never see your date of birth, age, nationality or immigration status. They never see which document you used for right to work. They never see your email address, legal name or home address, or your tax or bank details.
The privacy notice lists everything a client can see about you, including your position on the way to a shift.
When does my rating show?
Your own card shows your average from your first rating. A client sees it once you have three.
What did clients say about me?
Feedback sits under your card. Each piece shows the stars, the comment, the role you worked and the month, like "Stagehand · October 2026". "See all feedback" opens the full list.
It never shows the client's name or company. It also leaves out the venue, the date and whether they'd book you again. The Gaffr app tells clients this before they write.
Feedback shows once you've both rated the shift, or 14 days after it. After that you can't rate that shift. Ratings and feedback explains the rest.
Can feedback be hidden?
Yes. Gaffr can hide a piece of feedback, and records why. A comment that names someone else is one example. Hidden feedback leaves your profile and every star average shown in the apps. Gaffr keeps it.
You can't reply to feedback in the app. To ask Gaffr to look at a piece, email hello@gaffr.uk.
What happens when I change my photo or name?
Both wait for a person at Gaffr. Until they approve it, clients keep seeing what you have now. Your profile says when a change is waiting.
- Photo. Change photo sends your new photo for review. Gaffr Live suggests a clear photo of your face, because it's how a client knows it's you when you arrive.
- Name. Change name sends your new name for review. A person at Gaffr checks it against your photo ID. Clients see your first name when you're booked, and check it when you arrive.
If a new photo or name isn't approved, Gaffr Live tells you why.
What's Share Gaffr?
A QR code and a link you can send to someone who books crew, or works as crew. Sharing Gaffr with your QR code explains what the page shows.
