The problem

Every production manager knows the call. Doors in four hours and you're two hands short. So you ring the agency, and the agency rings round, and the price goes up because it's short notice.
You take whoever's free. You don't know what they're being paid, or how much of your money the agency kept. You find out who they are when they walk in.
Crewing has run like that for thirty years. Taxis did too, until someone put the nearest free driver on a map. Gaffr does that for crew.

Post the shift
Venue, call time, hours, role and the most you'll pay an hour. That's the whole brief.

Nearest first
It goes to verified crew who are live right now and charge that or less, closest first. Nobody takes it? The circle widens: 8 km, then 20, then 40.

First yes is booked
You see who's coming, their rate and their record. Once they're on the way, you watch them on the map.

Pay what it costs
The crew member's own rate for the hours booked, plus £25 to Gaffr. Same fee tonight as in two weeks.
