Gaff

The manifesto

THE RULES WE WORK BY.

Four of them. They decide what gets built, what gets refused, and what happens when it would be easier to look the other way.

The problem

THIRTY YEARS OF THE SAME PLAYBOOK.

An agency in the middle. A margin taken before crew see a penny. Thirty to fifty per cent disappearing before it reaches anybody doing the actual work.

Every crewing company since the first one copied the model. Nobody challenged it because nobody had to — low barrier, existing connections, a margin while you sleep. Why disrupt something you can just replicate?

For the first time, technology makes a different model possible. That's Gaffr.

What we stand for

FOUR RULES. NO ASTERISKS.

  1. 01

    We are all in service

Nobody is above the work. Service isn't a job title, it's a standard. The producer, the rigger, the runner: same standard, no hierarchy of effort.

It cuts both ways on Gaffr. A client who treats crew badly gets rated for it. So does a crew member who doesn't turn up.

  2. 02

    We believe in transparency

Visible rates. Visible reputations. Visible fees. If you can't say it out loud, it shouldn't be happening on Gaffr.

The £10 is printed on the job before anyone commits. Crew see the rate the client set, not a number an agency reached after taking its share.

  3. 03

    Scale should benefit everybody

As Gaffr grows, savings go back to clients and wages go up for crew. Every time.

That isn't written into a pitch deck, it's written into how the model works: the fee reduces as volume grows. A flat fee can only go one way when the platform gets bigger.

  4. 04

    Death before dishonour

We don't cut corners, hide margins, or protect bad actors. Ratings run both ways and stay blind until both sides have left one, so nobody rates defensively.

The platform holds everyone to the same standard. Including us.

EVERYONE WINS, EXCEPT THE ESTABLISHMENT.

Birmingham and the West Midlands first. Clients and crew are invited in waves.
